Schmidt & Bender reticle change

High I have a PM11 12-50x56 with a sport reticle and wanted to change the reticle
to a sport fine reticle, emailed them and was really shocked by the price for the change
982.56 euros + freight + vat this seems a bit excess

Yeah I reached out to S&B a while back for scope info and chewed on some options, when I got told the cost of a new reticle/turret option I quickly lost interest!

Brexit obviously plays a part and involves a lot of Red tape apparently

I think it’s more down to new ownership than Brexit.

That's crazy.
I emailed Zeiss recently about a reticle change in my V6 scope and I was quoted 350 euro plus shipping and Vat and I thought that was expensive

If you would rather not do something…
Price it to the point that most people will walk away


They flat out refused to put a P4FL in a made to order Exos despite admitting it was a straight swap…

Probably your cheapest option would be to buy a new or nearly new scope with the desired reticle & then sell the current one to offset the cost.
