Scope Fogging

Hi EV1. I am after some advice/tips. I was out last night in the rain and the scope lense was nearly always fogged up and couldnt take the shot because of it. Now the scope I was using did not have covers on and realise that would help but has anyone used any anti-fogging products that really work??

I always carry a scope cloth in my pocket because even the best of optics fog up in extreme conditions

+1, but keep it in a little plastic bag or tub, you don't want it getting bits of grit and dirt stuck in it before you wipe those precious lenses!!!

I bought a tub of several hundred lense cloths off eBay for just a few quid, I just discard them after every use.

Use Lidi spec cleaning wipes. If you havent got covers then a piece of cling film over the front objective secured with a rubber band works well. Helps to have sun shades.

I am no expert but you should try RAIN X from halfords

works like a dream in rain and in the cold

One bottle lasted me 3 years and does not damage coatings
