Take a look at this auction - these are real deer that aren't fed at the side of the pickup all winter so they'll come when you call them etc. In fact you have to get into a lot of the stalking by boat and it takes about 6 people to put a single guest on the hill with pony boys, boat men, ghillies and the stalker. The head stalker is one of the legends of stalking, and working ponies on the hill, and he is the 5th or 6th generation on the estate with one of the previous generation having been a Lovat Scout etc. etc. Pretty much as real as it gets:
