Wanted: Scotland Stalking weekend: 27-28th September

Looking for red stag stalking over the weekend 27/28th September.

Will be driving up from the south with a good mate for the weekend and looking to get his first red!

Looking for:

• Traditional, open-hill stalking
• Good representative stag for my mate and a decent cull beast for myself
• Accommodation from Friday night to Monday morning
• Even better if we can squeeze in some inland goose shooting over the weekend...

We're both experienced woodland stalkers so really looking for the authentic Scottish experience!!

Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Most estates will be booked up for this season, you could try and agent like Cara at International Hunting Scotland | Home

Now looking at driving up on Thursday and stalking on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September

Doesn't necessarily have to be on a big/prestigious sporting estate... And I should mention, we're both fit(ish) mid-30 year olds so happy to put the miles in!

It might be better to try and book for September 2026. My one paid outing this year is on Friday 26th September. Once I'm home from that day, I'll be thanking the agent and booking for 2026.

Cancellations do happen, but to go somewhere that meets your expectations, 2026 would seem a better bet.

Remember just a heads up guys there is no close season in Scotland for shooting Red Stags even on a Sunday be it Hill or Woodland !
