The sad reality is no one cares, it's like akin to how long do mice/rats suffer from poison. They are a scourge on the landscape that need to be eradicated by any means, it is not hunting, it is eradicationHow many hog’s are badly wounded and not killed with that mini gun though?
I understand that - however, the minimum wounding them isn’t a “nobody cares” thing…it’s inefficient and reckless. The sad reality is no one cares, it's like akin to how long do mice/rats suffer from poison. Just like the chopper shooters in NewZealand, or when they are dropping 1080 to poison the invasive animals there. Problem with something like using 1080 or similar poison where these pigs are in the US, too many other animals that belong will also die
You mean like hunting at night with thermals?and reckless.
I’ve lived there, shot feral hogs and seen the damage first hand…I still think the mini gun is inefficient and reckless.I can guarantee that if we were not over here wrapped up all cosy on this overcrowded island I'd give anyone from here 2 months of shooting them pigs all ethical like before they wished they had a mini gun and chopper!
I knew a young feller from the Midlands that went harvesting in the states. Within two weeks he bought an ar15 and a thousand rounds to just shoot varmints during harvesting!
We live on a tiny island and the people have tiny thoughts and always seem to think others do it wrong![]()
Also bloody expensive to run, even in the USA and also damn noisy. The guys with the semi-autos are doing very well. I imagine that picking up after a night's culling will be quite a task. How are they disposed of, burial, incineration?I’ve lived there, shot feral hogs and seen the damage first hand…I still think the mini gun is inefficient and reckless.
Not many. Lots of mince though. Joking aside it’s not the first time some bright spark had the idea to use machine guns on animals look at the great Emu war..How many hog’s are badly wounded and not killed with that mini gun though?
Depending on the problems in the area, left where they lie, again this isn't so much of a cull as an eradication of a pestHow are they disposed of, burial, incineration?
Trapping happens but isn't as efficient, loads of YouTube videos of guys trapping, amazing to see the amount of pigs, and the quickness of breeding, think I saw somewhere the sows can be bred at 3 - 4months old, can have offspring twice a year and up to 12 piglets each time. I agree, that's a lot of sausage and lean bacon going to wasteThey should just trap them that’s a waste of Ammo and good pig meat
Have you never been to Texas? Take a look at their cars, their menus, their people etc. "Inefficient and reckless" is high praise in Texas!I understand that - however, the minimum wounding them isn’t a “nobody cares” thing…it’s inefficient and reckless.
