I also use them, can’t say I’ve noticed any issues with the dogs.
We used to pull 5-10 ticks off the dogs a week, with the collars we don’t get any now.
I wonder whether it’s like my experience with Bravecto- it’s a lottery depending upon the dog. I used Bravecto at the suggestion of the HVS Rescue and then had fits after 3 years. Stopped using it, no more fits. May be purely coincidental but some of these anti-tick/flea treatment are akin to nerve agents and I can not longer (rightly IMHO) put my convenience above the dog’s health.
Curious. Of the active ingredients, imadacloprid is widely used in spot ons and flumethrin while toxic to insects is pretty safe for mammals. A congressioal sub committee doesn't look like a proper scientific review to me.

A bit unfortunate in you are the xxxxth. Nothing is safe but the 1 in 336th chance of something adverse occurring is more than once a day. Granted fatalities are at 0.8% but actually, having now had cancer twice, I don’t think I’d take even that chance for a dog whose an integral part of the family. My choice……..
Perhaps you or others would prefer absolutes? Stay inside, dont have firearms or dogs, do weekly shop online, dont interact witj other humans?
