I know how it feels when i made a comment about my first stalk i got nasty comments like you did .
It does hurt and these few ruin S D for many other's with there comments.

Patrick, I was thinking of running something similar to your offer, which I did for NHS folk after COVID. However reading through your thread and replies I thought better of it and will go another way. Some people are just beyond belief.

I'm looking for a friend to accompany me when I go shooting. The successful person should be retired, or semi retired. They should have both centrefire ticket and shotgun ticket, and obviously able to demonstrate safety as a pre requisite. I'm not troubled if you have DS1, or DS2, in fact I would be happy to mentor you.

I have had a bad experience of "Friends", who like shooting, but they prefer to use a knife in your back approach to grasp your land from you....so hustlers need not apply. Can I ask why Retired or semi retired.
According to the missus I am semi retired around the house lol but a good way off from actual retirement. There is some genuine people who would be grateful of your generous offer in their 40s. Granted I get the sentiment of trust been there and got the t shirt but older folks are just as capable of doing the dirty.
I myself would like some company on my permissions but I have been bitten before so am reluctant to offer again.
Good luck there is good genuine people out there of all ages.

Spot on. I'm the same. I just think stalking is great with a bit company sometimes aswell

Yes we can all watch u tube but going out with a mentor is a far better way of learning and hands on.

So please keep taking us novices out and giving us some tips and guidance
