Shopping for my next stalking rifle. Interested in a Shultz and Larsen Ambassador or Victory in any common UK calibre above 6.5 or above - although my empty slots once licence returned will be .308 and 7x57

Also interested in classic customs - TT Proctor, Gibbs, Rigby etc

Also interested in Mauser 98 based rifles such as a Dakota arms classic or Kimber Classic Select

I am aware of everything already listed for sale, if you are sitting on anything above that you wouldn't mind shifting, please feel free to drop me a message.

Ed has a lovely classic Mauser with scope and all in .308, I think it’s in Clawmount with a Zeiss 6x42. Hand made in a German m98. I would have likely snapped it up if it had been 7x57 - but I could become one, one day! Not a stutzen, but a nice long thin forend

Thanks - why do you say don't buy a 21 out of interest? I like the look of the Super Classic - aesthetically exactly what I want
The 20 were better made rifles with far less problems, higher quality production. If you search on here, you will find plenty of input reg. the 21 issues

@Heym SR20 can also elaborate, but I know he is busy this week with life events.

The 20 is very much a traditional rifle with a seperate receiver, into which the barrel is screwed and the trigger attached. It has a fixed five round double stack magazine with an opening floor plate.

The 21 has a barrel and receiver all in one piece. The trigger unit is mounted in the stock, and unless the bedding is correctly done this can act as a see saw point when seating the barrel / receiver which can cause accuracy issues. This is especially an issue with after market bedding done by someone who doesn’t understand the rifle.

And it has a nasty tinny single stack three round mag that has to be removed to reload. You cannot reload from the top. This is a pain in the arse especially when fingers are frozen.

The 21 does have a nice three position safety on the bolt shroud that blocks the firing pin. The 20’s safety, also three position is on the trigger and sear - which in turn blocks the firing pin.

As an aside, I note Cooper Arms are no more in respect of their classic wooden stocked rifles. Its now all synthetic and mostly clunky actions with the obligatory rail!

I have a Schultz & Larson Victory in 6.5x55 that is a bit of a cabinet queen as I usually use a Blaser 6.5x55 for my Roe stalking. Only leaves the cabinet once in a blue moon for summer buck, not in a rush to sell as it is the most accurate rifle I have ever shot, off a bench it can single hole Norma 120gr. For the right offer I would consider selling as I am looking to get a 6mm.
Exactly the same as the one on Guntrader at the moment, Original S&L green laminate stock. Only difference is that mine is threaded and has original S&L 30mm rings. Got a Swarovski Z6i 3-18 x50 on it and a mod.
