Anyone using or used the 130gr Sierra Game Changers in 6.5mm?

Opinions on them?

Looking to start a new load development and liked the look of these.

Thanks

The Red Stag in my avatar was shot in the neck at 300m using the 130 grain 6.5mm Game Changer from my Schultz and Larsen Victory chambered in 6.5-284 Norma.

When I worked up the load I found that by changing from .020" to .030" off the lands halfed my group size.

This bullet also produced tiny groups in my cousins Carl Gustaf 3000 rifle chambered in 6.5x55.

Accurate and, so far, excellent terminal performance with them from my 6.5x55. Running at 2820 fps and have taken game from Springbuck to Blue Wildebeest with them at ranges from 90m to 320m

Thanks

I'll get some ordered and try them using RS62 should get to 2900ft/s without much effort.

That's what I've been using RS62 with Lapua brass RWS large primers 130gr Sierra. They are absolutely brilliant on foxes. Messy but gets the job done. Travelling at 2817fps

Hi Foxboy43,
What is your COL (overall length).
Thanks
Very, very long as the 6.5 has an enormously long chamber to accept pretty heavy bullets should you wish - for moose etc.

This was recovered from just under the skin on the exit side of a fairly large Fallow Sorrel so pretty impressive - and utterly lethal…

Thanks, do you know the exact length in mm preferably. 😁
Of course and not trying to be unhelpful but best you work it out through the tried and tested sawn case neck, seat bullet, chamber and measure; repeat 5 times then subtract 20 thou from the agreed length - start there…..
PM me if you have a problem.
