SIG BDX Optics! Any good?

I'm interested to hear of any good or bad experiences with the SIG BDX range of optics, in particular Kilo 3000 binos or the newer 6K model.
Any recommendations on model of SIG BDX scope?
Is a combo package worthwhile with lrf binos or just the lrf?
What us cydtomer service from SIG like?

I have used a BDX scope/ bino combo in New Zealand on a mate's rifle to good effect but the market for SIG kit in the UK appears quite limited.

The BDX system itself works surprisingly well, but the SIG SAUER SIERRA 3 and 6 BDX scopes have really poor optical performance. Really poor, think £20 Chinese airsoft scope and you'll get the idea.

The KILO 3000BDX bino is very good. I'd go KILO 3000BDX and a conventional dialling scope, myself.

A great alternative is the Vortex Fury 5000AB binocular. Better glass than the KILO 3000BDX and an Applied Ballistics Elite solver to boot.

The creme-de-la-creme is the SIG KILO 10K ABS which has a dot matrix display which is an absolute game changer - but it's extremely spendy.

The BDX Binos in the older form are perfectly decent and I have used them a fair bit. If it was my money though I would be going with the vortex fury 10x42. The vortex will hold their money better and I am guessing the warranty will be better.

If you don’t want the ballistics stuff just normal RF then a second hand set of Zeiss, Swarovski or Leica are worth a look. Beware though the warranty on the electrics is 2 or 3 years.

Got a pair os sig BDX binos old gen and they are fantastic didn’t bother pairing with scopes as you can get better glass for the money and work out your trajectories and just get a label printed inside your scope caps for dialling

Rangefinding ability of the BDX is great, but the glass has a very blue hue to it beside the Vortex 5000AB. We regularly use both side by side and nothing in it for RF.
Can't comment on the BDX scopes.

My first SIG SAUER KILO 3000BDX bricked during a mandatory software update. The importer, Highland Outdoors, had to resort going round all the UK stockists to try and buy a replacement unit back from them. Whilst I am grateful that they went to this length to help me out, I know that had I suffered the same issue with a Vortex Fury 5000 AB, I would have had a brand new binocular sitting on my door step the next day. You can't beat Vortex's VIP Warranty, and Country Sports Wholesale who deal with warranty claims in the UK are absolute legends! Best customer service I've ever experienced!
