Simple pocket sized carry strap for roe

Only once in my life have I ever had a tick on me (after a long crawl through heather stalking wild goats in Snowdonia). This is despite having spent most of my time handling tick infested sheep on tick infested pastures, and having carried quite a few tick infested deer. I reckon they just don't like the taste of me.
I've also wondered this while I've not been out and about for a while (2 years) I've still yet to get a tick on myself, Pretty much the exact same scenario as yourself I'd be quite surprised If the sheep are even treated on the property and I would assume Its why the deer are so Infested.
.
I've had 3-4 on me before un-latched but that was due to touching an Infested deer, Never crawled on me from walking around, but my friends have had 40+ this season.

I reckon I was immune to ticks too, never had a tick on me and I put that down to being drench in organo-phospate dip while plunge dipping sheep for most of my 20's.

But I have had two latch on this autumn, perhaps I am a bit sweeter in my old age!

I bought one of these recently and used it to drag a roe the other day that was covered in ticks. It worked well but it is quite thick wire and was a bit bulky in my trouser pocked but not too bad. I think a piece of paracord and a handle would have worked just as well.

Great idea, I use an IKEA bag. It has both a shoulder and a leg strap and keeps the blood contained.

P.s. I won't go near that hateful place after my one and only visit years ago but I bought a pack of 10 new IKEA bags on eBay a few years ago and rotate them, sticking them in the washing machine with my Stalking gear.

They look a perfect way of keeping the carcass clean, but my shoulders cause me some issues, so as a drag bag for roe over muddy crops back to the truck look great, I've just been given one to try out.

But what's this washing your stalking gear?
Don't, just hide it from the wife!

Cheers

Richard
