Were they the kiwi Quatro workboots (not the Sports which look a bit too weak to me)

Never heard of anyone prematurely busting through a pair without them seeing serious work.

The only reason I found out about them years ago was when returning some Muck boots that had failed within a few weeks. They had always been good and I suspect got a cult following and then moved production out East to cope with demand. Quality then went down. I hope the same hasn't happened with Skellerup.

They were the neoprene lined Quattro wellington’s, the soles were hardly worn at all, got in touch with the suppliers and basically they didn’t want to know, it took some weeks of emails and photos to come to that conclusion.
l definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone let alone buy another pair hence my response to this topic, disgusted with the response from the supplier.

I normally buy 10's and I tried a pair of 10's on and felt like boat barges on my feet, miles to big so tried a 9 and fit much better with still plenty of room. Most shops selling recommend going a size smaller than normal when ordering

Yeah seen a couple of sites saying to order a size under. Thought I’d check here for some real life reviews on them and the fit.

I have had mine about a year and they are excellent. I am shoe size 10 but wear Skellerups in S 9. Went to a stockists in Stroud and they got 9 and 10s in so could choose. Great that you can take the foot bed out to dry it and warm wheat sack inside will dry them out and can warm up before wearing them

Thats a great idea as i keep my boots under cover outside so be a good way to warm them on a cold morning

I have had a pair of the Quattro's for years. By far the best boots I have had, other than some very expensive leather lined Aigles. Friends who are dairy farmers swear by them.

I should add that I wore a pair daily for about 8 months mainly working with sheep with no issues.


Calves are a bit big though, but I find that with most boots.

have them, love them, very sturdy and sturdy around the ankles,
Order smaller than you need by at least one size, they are big for sizing

I have checked, the other boots are not Aigles, but Le Chameau St Hubert. They really are amazing but very, very expensive. I got mine in France on sale, they were about half the price of those in the UK. Available in dozens of slightly different fittings, so not something to buy online and to be honest far too good for work and probably the only real advantage is the fit.

Saw them. Couldn’t find much info on them.

To confirm, the ones I have that might outlast me are these ones but in the old school black. The insulated work boots not the Quatro Sport variety which is more geared towards looking like a country boot but to me looks less robust.

Absolutely immense wellies. I got recommended them by a dairy farmer, I've since recommended them to others, not heard one bad word. You'd never know they safety tors, warm, slipper light. Brilliant for wellies (I hate wellies)

I've got a pair. They are big and heavy Winter boot, got my cheapo Muck Boots in the Summer.
