Just finished skinning a Munty head pre boil. Surveying the tatters and dulled knives afterwards I could not help but appreciate the skill that goes into a proper piece of work.

That's a really nice roe, who did it? Some of them in my opinion can be a bit too over or... under done I suppose? this one looks perfect.

He must be a magician, not cheep but nothing worth having ever is.
It sits above my drinks cabinet and makes me smile when I pour a Whiskey and Soda : I smile allot.

Catching up with preping a few Munty buck heads out of the freezer this morning. Realised my head skinning technique is not technique at all, tatters and blunt blades everywhere.

Tips and guidance from wiser heads much appreciated.

I start at the nose and split a line centrally up the skull and peel down either side, doesn’t take long to do. If you do scratch the skull at all with the knife these can easily be lightly sanded out later once clean and dry.
