I cut this 'tree' down when reducing the size of a hedge last last year, and was surprised to see the wood actually had a purple tinge to it so thought I would see how it would turn out in a handle, so I sliced it into rough handle sized lumps and it went in the oven for a few hours to dry out, it has since spent the last 11 months in resin until I remembered it and cured the resin, I'm quite impressed...
