Not one for Ghillie suits or similar ridiculous gear, not really even camo, I like traditional Harkila type stalking clothes, type 'stuff'..

However! found Urban Camo (white/grey), picked up ex-mod, makes EXCELLENT snow-suits for stalking! just get a size or two larger than normal, and slip over your normal gore-tex stuff. Full set approx. £40:-D maybe match with a white woolley hat?

Where ????

just google it, there'll be tons of results from online surplus stores. You can also get the ex-mod snowsuits which are just think pull-over jackets and trousers. There's SAS, Russian, German, Swedish, etc. and these are only around £25 for a set..in fact, just ordered one from ebay - £25. - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITISH-ARMY-SURPLUS-SNOW-CAMO-OVER-SMOCK-190-SAS-PARA_W0QQitemZ190479503789QQcategoryZ70988QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp5197.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5692498047275908620

Just be careful you dont fall over, because ,with the material in these you will keep going like a tobogan going down hill :oops:
I know cos I got one.

The problem with an all white snow suit is you actually stand out like a sore thumb unless you are wandering about in snow with total coverage.

I have an over suit that has brown blobs on it to break up the block colour, it makes ALOT of difference.

Nothing a little spray paint won't fix :-D

much prefer the KKK option white sheet with a hole in it for the head plus 2nd hand charity shop sheet at 50p should please some of you tight arse s

white coveralls ie a boiler suit in white from ebay cost me £9 and a white russian trapper cost £6 and I got white fleece gloves for £2 so I'm sorted. You can add subtle grey flashes to the coveralls to help break up your pattern.

All delivered for under £20

Tyvek disposable hooded coveralls at under a fiver a pop, (even less on eBlag), so it doesn't matter if you get gralloch over them, just lob them in the bin afterwards.

You can also pretend you're visiting a crime scene or removing asbestos if the mood takes you.:D

Edit:

Found these Swedish Army windproof snow smocks at £5.95 each - only drawback is you have to buy 5!

Some interesting stuff on the website as well.

Stu, I measure 50" round the chest but buy 52" stuff because my shoulders and arms are big. I also buy 42" waist gear, although I can fit in 40" waist trousers, because I have big thighs. I buy most of my stuff from the USA, Cabela's & LL Beans.

I find that I can buy USA ex-army gear because they cater for larger people, but Brit stuff is way small. I was trawing the net and found some German stuff that looks to be a possible goer, but I have to ring them up to check the sizes.
