Some day . . . . .

I have a serious itch to scratch! I'm not interested in any of the other Big Five, but the Cape Buffalo has got under my skin for some reason. I need to make this happen!

Better start saving up unless you are a man of means.

F

I've got the head of one on my workshop wall, which I guess is as close as I'll ever get!
Best of luck with scratching the itch, but if you're not successful (or it's too expensive) I'll lend you the head to pose for a photo with

My mate did it last year. He has been all over the world shooting all manner of things but it was clear this was different for him. He was like an excitable child before and after and almost certainly beside himself during.

Hope that helps

I realise now that this was a stupid post ^^^^
I should simply have posed with the head myself, and posted a photo
I bet that would've made your itch even itchier

A Cape Buffalo hunt, ideally with the opportunity for a decent Impala plus a good Warthog, is very much on my bucket list and ideally using my own Parker-Hale .375H&H to do the shooting with.
An expensive wish perhaps but possibly cheaper, and arguably easier, than fulfilling the other big ticket item on my bucket list - catching two marlin, a blue plus a black
Ticking that off probably entails a multi-day charter somewhere in the eastern Pacific for a realistic chance of success at getting two good fish. That could take serious time and money to achieve.
