If my opinion on this upsets any or all I really couldn't two flying John McCriricks
sub human oxygen thieves who do this sort of thing I would happily see publicly executed,, and a judge to boot, nice to know your fate lays in the hand of such stable minded individuals isn't it.

Cruel and an Oxygen thief for sure but he's not a judge and never has been. He's a former magistrate. There is a difference.
The RSPCA don't hand out sentences of any sort to anyone. How stupid do they think we are?

I apologise It is indeed a former magistrate position he held, however would you want a twisted individual such as this deciding on any of these matters.??

most serial killers started off torturing animals. what else might he have done? as yet undiscovered?

Despicable. However re: on-line petitions, call me cynical but aren't they just some dodgy way for web Companies to gather data?

With all due respect, I don't think that an emotive public poll is an appropriate way to determine how somebody should be punished for a particular crime. That's just mob rule.
Whoever was responsible for passing the sentence will have had his / her reasons for doing so, and, whether we agree or not with the degree of punishment we do have to uphold rather than undermine our country's legal system.

the law like gp,s look after their own even if retired,i hope he gets mugged and hit in the head with a hammer! scum.
That's just not true I can assure you. He was sentenced IAW the legal guidelines. If that wasn't the case the RSPCA would be appealing the sentence! I'm sure we would all be happy if people like him got 10 years but our prison's are at breaking point. More prisons will result in higher taxes which people would then moan about! I wish I knew the answer!

What the heck is wrong with people? Upset because she followed him around. "Spit some Beachnut in that Dudes Eye"... Hank Williams Jr.

There is a procedure for testing whether a particular sentence is unduly lenient and the CPS use it sometimes.
Those passing the sentence don’t always have the last say.
Ken.

i hope and pray this scummy git gets a prison sentence or a drug crazed nut cases attacks him! dogs should be treated fairly, its not the dogs fault the owner is an A hole. the law in this country is bent, slip the judge a note to say your a magistrate/free mason etc and you get off. the cps is a joke!

I have no idea.
My dogs follow me around, the pup in particular. I find it an honour she puts the trust and loyalty in me. I can’t get my head round it being a reason to beat let alone kill the dog.

Totally agree, my lad follows me everywhere I go. He even sits outside the door when I take a sh.., er go to the toilet, he constantly looks for me, or at me.............I would not have it any other way. If I touched him in a harmful way, I would never forgive myself, and would consider I need the same treatment as a lesson.

I never go to the pub of course!

His cruel actions were completely inexcusable! Being a rescue dog it would have been easy enough to have simply taken the poor dog back to the rescue centre and they would no doubt have been happy to take the dog back in to their care rather than chance seeing any harm come to it
Personally I have no time whatsoever for anyone who ill treats a dog and I feel that a much harsher sentence should have been given but I am not trained in legal matters and do not know how the sentences are worked out in courts!
