Some people need flogged, with barbed wire preferably.

A story from my past comes to mind. My first ever 'good' car was a G-reg' Astra MK2. It was nothing fancy, but it was my first decent car. I was living in Charleston in Dundee at the time, and one Saturday night I happened to see some scrote crouched down at the passenger door. Never moved so fast in my life, and caught the sh1t breaking the window glass. While I was kicking seven bells out of him, a neighbour had called the police. (This was in the day where you could actually count on them to turn up sharpish) When they arrived a couple of minutes later I was still teaching this bloke a lesson. I was hauled off and held back while the little shi1t was bleating about 'assault', and wanting me charged, etc. As the the cuffs went on, one of the policemen told him to 'Shut the f*ck up or I'll let him have another go at you'.

We need to get back to those attitudes

Them days will never return unfortunately

There are some real bastards in this world!
Last week, my wife and her brother sat, for days, by a hospital bed, watching their mother die.
When they finally came out of there, emotionally drained and grieving, they found his car had been smashed into and emptied.
Is nothing sacred?

No cameras unfortunately and I’m not claiming on the insurance. Binoculars were about £600 worth so factor in excess and bumped premiums for 5 yrs and it’s not worth it.

I now need binoculars as I can’t manage without them.

Fit a dash cam in your cab, I done this after getting broke into a few years back ,tucked it between the back seat head rests and wired it in permanently ,just try and put it somewhere discrete. Of course naff all happened since but if it does good chance of catching who done it.

You’d actually be better off paying the repairs yourself than using insurance, the premium hikes will make it twice as expensive.
I know this from having my Hilly window smashed in to steal things in Birmingham some years back
Yeh. I had as branch blow over smashing windscreen and a 50 pence sized dent. On the wing Insurance £450 I would have to pay the insurance company they wanted the car for 2 weeks 🤣🤣 and a mark on your insurance policy
£240 later 2 half days - all done and I’ve just swapped insurance companies

This is what I fitted ,believe me this is a steal at £15,

Some bastard has smashed the side window of my truck, and stole my ( beloved) binoculars which hang on the rear headrest.
Privacy glass, busy golf club car park, middle of the day.
I’m so angry I could spit blood.
What is wrong with these people?
Lack of sufficient retribution when caught and convicted of course, village idiots randomly cutting down sycamore trees are treated far more harshly by the law then career crooks that burgle and thieve for a living.

Perhaps the thiefs rangefinder pinseeker had packed in? (Joshing) .................... Sorry for your loss & damage.

They likely have nothing, so nothing to lose if by some miracle they get caught and have no respect for others or the law.

Unfortunately it looks to be an increasing situation, at my aging years I look back and wonder how we arrived where we are as a country and wonder what life will be like for the grandchildren in twenty years when at least I will be gone.

Look at the pickup volumes sold in the USA when traveling that leaves all your kit wide open but as many owners are armed I had never heard of US scrotes nicking stuff off the rear beds.
