Why not go for a lever action in 45-70, quite a few to choose from?
I probably may in future but no need at the moment. The .30-06 gets the brunt of use for anything larger. I'm quite liking the idea of this revolver carbine in .45 colt. Double action, so 5 shots available straight after eachother. Due to the heavy bullet selection and low velocity, they drop dramatically after 100 yards, so great for woodland and other instances you would use a .22lr but want that bit more umph without going to a centrefire rifle calibre.
The downside is you can't really take deer species due to the ft/lbs. Thats where something like one chambered in .45 70 would hold its own along with the above advantages in this action type.
