Dropped 27gn of CFE into some 222 cases und a 45gn S&B bullet and under a Sierra 50gn hpbt target bullet and got a result.

The 45 gn soft points will kill varmints for me at the ranges I kill at no problem.

The 50gn bullet on 27gn of CFE was only just starting to show some pressure developing via spent primers viewing. But again, a working load that will work. One case though was lost with that load.

Five shots each. Shot off a trigger sticks tripod and trigger arm resting on the cars body. 103 yards.

Blimey, that's hot ! I only go 25.5 grains of CFE223 so that it does not need compression.
In all honesty, zero excessive pressure signs. Primers as round as unfired.
Compression alone is a non issue.

If i wanted to really push 222 this powder isn't the one, it's to slow and bulky for the case.
