Just arrived back from SA and would like to share my first ever African hunting experience with you. We booked 2 x 5 day cull packages with Bos en Dal Safaris hunting plains game in the North West Province. We was greeted at Johannesburg O.R Tambo airport by outfitter Gerrit JV Vuuren and Francois (our P.H). After the introductions and clearing customs. We was driven to our hunting lodge 30 minutes outside Rustenburg. Once we arrived and settled in, we were introduced to the staff at the lodge and enjoyed a traditional South African meal. After lunch, we went to the shooting range to sight in our rifles and once the P.H's were satisfied with our shooting abilities, we ventured out on our first stalk in the bush veld. After an hour or so I shot my first Blesbok. During the rest of the week, I shot; 3 Impala, 2 Blue Wildebeest, 2 Kudu and 6 Warthog, followed by a days dove shooting in the sun and a further days Egyptian goose hunting. In all I had the most memorable experience and we can honestly say that Bos en Dal are a superb outfitter and we enjoyed hunting in a safe, friendly environment. The food, accommodation, hunting and the indeed the P.H's were first class and would definitely recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be returning next year with a group of us.
