Spartan bipod

Today I fitted a new Spartan bipod to my T3/Rem788 mutt. Totally delighted with this ultra light weight and removable accessory. I haven't had a bipod before as I saw them as extra weight, branch catcher and incompatible with a set of sticks but this little bit of kit is the business. How do you use yours? Do you find it time consuming and awkward to fit in the heat of the moment or a God-send?

I find if I'm using a bipod it's for a longer shot and I have plenty of time so getting it out a pocket is fine. For standing shots in the woods where movement could give you away I find the Sentinel tripod (or usually just two legs) works really well, quick to get on and then easy to move around if necessary.

It’s very useful when you need it and not a lot to carry when you don’t. The “pro hunt tac” long is the best by a long way.

Spartan Javelin in the breast pocket (zipped) and the sticks in hand. I think they complement one another and the removable nature of the Javelin means it’s never in the way.
