Spartan Valhalla- anyone using one for stalking?

Interested in the Valhalla biopod with long tac legs to fit on a stalking rifle. I currently use a javelin pro hunt but miss the folding abilities my old Harris provides (but not the weight).

keen to hear from those that use this set up for stalking, what’s you views/ experiences with it?

from videos seen it look quite wide, does this impact putting it in a slip for example?. Is it easy to carry the rifle when attached, or does it dig in to the back of your shoulder?

i have the long javelin pro legs 30cm-50cm, to get above long grass, anyone know if these would fit the Valhalla?

appreciate the Valhalla is aimed more at the tactical / long range market, but looking for a light folding option with long legs and not many options out there tbf.

thanks.

I don’t stalk but do use the Valhalla for vermin etc.

It’s too wide to get into a slip but easy enough to attach so I’ve not found that to be an issue.

The legs are interchangeable (I used to have a pro hunt and swapped the legs regularly depending on crop height).

I’ve not noticed it digging into my back while slung. Was out last night and walked a fair bit with bipod attached and rifle slung, all felt fine.

I really like mine and much prefer it to the pro hunt. It also has a circular rebate in the base to allow it to fit onto other Spartan products such as the high seat clamp, tripod attachment etc if needed.

Hope that helps mate 👍

I think there are some new models due out soon - might be worth holding out to see what they might be. I heard that one might be what you are after - I.e. fixed to the rifle.

Been using one for quit some time and I can really recommend it. What’s nice about it if you have any Spartan shooting sticks they fit to the bottom of the Valhalla. This way you don’t need to take one of to use the other.

I've got one and its a great bipod but I wouldn't use it if I was planning on carrying it around on a rifle.

I've got a Spartan Spear which is attached via a standard picatinny unlike their usual magnet and it sounds like it's what you want. Almost a combination of a Javelin bipod and an Atlas which suits my needs perfectly, including being able to set the legs are 45⁰.

As mentioned already they have a couple of new models for the more military/LEO user being launched at Shot Show 2024 so may be worth holding on as the Valhalla isn't cheap, especially if it turns out to not be what you need.

Pic of the spear please?

I use a Valhalla in the same manner as I used to use a javelin. I got rid of the javelin due to not really providing any reasonable support for me.
The Valhalla provides a much more stable platform and although bigger (and heavier) than a javelin it is vastly superior for its intended purpose.

It’s not much slower to deploy than a javelin and the spigot mount is far superior.

I don’t carry it around on the rifle as I usually shoot standing and for any situation I need a bipod I have time to attach it and deploy it.

That being said, they’re very pricy and definitely no more stable than an Atlas CAL. If I was spending the money again I’d maybe get the cheaper and more stable atlas.

The legs are interchangeable with their other bipods.

Not come across the Spartan spear, had a quick look on Google but couldn’t find it. Grateful for a link if you have one.
