Speer 52Gr HP and RL 10X

I have some ingredients as above.
Tikka T3 with 1:8 24" Varmint barrel.
I started with a 21gr load that produced a group of about .75", but the muzzle velocity was about 2780 fps, that seemed very low.
3 more groups with an extra 0.5 gr each time were nowhere near as good.
This brought me up to 22,5gr, which, according to Speer, is the maximum charge recommended. MV has crept up to just over 3000 fps.
Other discussion groups talk about going up to as much as 24gr.
Alliant talks about 33gr!!!! with an MV of over 3700 fps.

Do any SD members use this combination of bullet and powder?

I've used alot of these bullets and 22.5grain of n133 works great for me , any faster and the groups open up , I have tested them up to 24grain n133

What muzzle velocity gave the best groups?
I have some n133 but wanted to use up the tub of RL10x.

I was finding that the groups opened up at they got faster, but I have just done a couple of groups above the recommended maximum (according to a couple of data sets) and the groups tightened right up at about 3140 fps. Not the fastest, that was 3185-3200 fps.

Not the same cart, but I’m getting 3050fps and super accuracy from my 22 Fireball and 14.5 grains of Lil’gun and Berger 52 grain FB bullets.

Why are you loading a 223 like a 222?
Any high pressure sign?
If not, stick some powder in the bloody case!

How much RL 10X DO YOU put behind a Speer 52gr Varmint in your .223?
Probably around max plus Alliant data, if I had a 223.
You have not indicated any pressure issues and alluded to other users going over book.
Assuming it's similar to RL7 your good for a bit more yet.
What you frightened of?

That just about sums it up!
