Just purchased a set of sports march mounts HOP92 to be exact and have fitted them to my rifle. Has anybody else experienced the paint flaking off when tightening down the ring screws? View attachment 452451

Yes I use Sportsmatch scope mounts on most of my rifles and most of them show some small paint flakes around the screw heads. They hold zero in my experience so I don't mind these paint flakes. Iirc Sportsmatch made scope mounts for AI sniper rifles, which I also have a set of. They have a slightly different finish resembling anodising and hold zero just as well as the regular production Sportsmatch mounts.Afternoon,

Why not?I have never been a fan of Sportsmatch.
No personal experience of Tier One myself but I've heard a couple of guys that have been disappointed with them and claim that they are over-rated. One of those guys however rated Vortex quite highly. They are overpriced, reasonable mounts however a second hand set of tier ones or new vortex or element would get you better mounts.

They’re the one piece quick release mounts which I decided to give a bash for when my Nocpix Nite turns up which will be in 2030 at this rate£154 for sportsmatch mounts?! They’re normally £30 - £40??
