it didn't repel the water anywhere near as good as the nikwax I've used previously, I sprayed it on as it says, have I missed something?Once you sprayed it best thing to do is get it somewhere warm let it dry off .. Get bit heat into it seems to activate it
Nikwax is a water repellant and repel is water based, so probably largely ran off. With any water replellant you need to wash the old one off first. Nikwax is wax based, repel is a c 6 fluorocarbon which is way more active than a wax, but it needs to be applied, soak in and then be heated. If it runs off it will repel the. Ground!
