Hi, does anyone have plans they could share for a squirrel bait station please?
Cheers!

Nice one, I like the use of the socket tray particularly!I don’t have plans as such but from a 2400x1200 sheet of marine ply I made a few feeders .
400mm high back 300mm high front ( sloping roof ) then they are 300mm wide and 300mm deep I cut out a hole in the bottom front corner to the size of a metal single socket tray with a 100mm lip for them to sit on . Will find some picks and put up so you can get the idea.
Sticking my neck out here but other than say the garden...why?
They have any amount of feed in the woods. Why not just stalk them?
Now this does make sense. That way you may get a few - but as it drops cold bait is the way
I have shot thousands on them = i also enjoy stalking into them from feeder to feeder with the hushpower which is very effective
I do wonder though sometimes why people complicate it - a simple blue barrel with a pheasant spring and some wheat does the job and provides a bit of food for the local songbirds too
In summer they are impossible to see in the leaf canopy, and if you want to clear large numbers then stalking them is far too slow.Sticking my neck out here but other than say the garden...why?

I do stalk at certain times in the year especially when there’s loads of natural food about as they don’t touch the feeders and this year has seen a bumper harvest of acorns. The reason I put feeders up is I’ve been tasked with clearing them out and keeping on top of them in the wood I have and the feeders help big time in reducing the numbers. That said I had a good stalk the other day, got in on it and dropped it at 41yds and approx. 25 ft up in an Oak clean dispatch with a sub 12ft/lb . I tend to switch it up depending on the day so a bit of sat on a feeder and a bit walk n stalk if the feeders are quietSticking my neck out here but other than say the garden...why?

I'm toying with an air rifle session this weekend on them.I do stalk at certain times in the year especially when there’s loads of natural food about as they don’t touch the feeders and this year has seen a bumper harvest of acorns. Yes buddy I know. I was waiting for deer Sunday. I was sat in a fence line of oaks. Squirrels everywhere. A wren came under 4' checking me out. Long tails, pheasants. It is way better than anything else I know. It's like a drug to me.Get out Smellydog - its brill sat waiting watching the other wildlife
I have put up loads of bucket feeders for the small birds pretty close to some of my shooting areas and to just sit and have 10/20 minutes watching them as they feed is a real reset

On my list when my ticket lands through the letterboxGet a hushpower Larry - brilliant for really making holes in the numbers when used in conjunction with a rifle
