St Huberts Club, Can Anyone help me findout a little more information

I had the pleasure of long & detailed discussion on lots of subjects whilst on the motorways today, one subject cropped up, yes the subject of St Huberts, in short a pair of experienced stalkers visiting a game fair, decided to enter the stand of the St Hberts to enquire of them this & that & whatever about them, they were fobbed off with a curt "We dont entertain your sort"........ this was from a person who I regard with some common sense about him, & unlikely to tell fibs. ........ He believes it stemmed from how they were attired at the time.
well im starting a bored with all this , any man can join the st huberts club and members come from all walks of life !
me i have just been accepted as a member , for a day job i spread litter in poultry sheds (not the cleanest of jobs, but didnt bother them when i told them !) and when im not doing that im stalking .
so let me tell you all lets put this to bed now its getting terribly boring !

here here, fully agree with Lee6.5
I was at the CLA game fair, in my finest.....pair of flip flops and scruffs, wife and screaming child in arm and was welcomed with no prejudice from the St Huberts stand. Im not a member but but can vouch that they were nothing but polite

If boredom sets in, I usually find something else to look at.

I only ask as many say that the deer stalking world is a smal place, you do get to hear a lot of what goes on out there, but I have not heard of this incident, is it a recent one, or one from an age ago?
In stalking terms, absolutely prehistoric mate, but you know what some stalkers memories are like!!!

I'm not sure what has gone on with regard to the earlier incident, but as has already been said it's not really fair to tarnish a club with the actions of a tiny minority. It's not good when you see behaviour that lets shooting sports down but it's a sad fact of life that there will always be those who let the side down no matter what organisation they are in. We've all seen things that make us cringe and the chances are that those people are a member of a shooting organisation of some kind but we don't usually see fit to bring their organisation into it, perhaps because what we see isn't as unexpected?
I do know that St Hubert Club try to set high standards of their members as a rule and I guess that leaves them a bit more open to criticism than the rest if those members let them down, but let's try to remember that at the end of the day the people responsible for their behaviour are the people holding the rifles and pulling the triggers and not their club.

I have spoken to both sides, both are members of this forum, and what took place was dealt with in the correct manner at a later date by the club, we are all members of the stalking community, and this site, and this should be put to bed. deerwarden
