Reasort Estates are currently auctioning some accommodation and stalking in aid of Macmillan Cancer. Also available is a week for two people staying in Amhuinnsuidhe Castle - this is the chance of a lifetime for someone and the price is currently below what you'd pay for two people in a reasonable hotel for a week. The week includes 5 days fishing with a ghillie plus all food as well, including the famous dinners in the big dining room. Amhuinnsuidhe is probably the best known fisherie and stalking estate in the Hebrides and it is also world famous with Loch Voshimid probably the most famous of the lochs though in my view it isn't the best loch but some of the others require a bit of walking.
Currently they are offering 3 different days at hinds, on three different estates, and they are all relatively inexpensive at present so no complaints that you can't go stalking because it costs too much. The advantage with hind stalking is that the days are short and so distances covered tend to be much less than can be the case when at stags. Hamanavay in particular has no mechanical extraction and is very rough ground with considerable climbs often required so be aware that this may not be for you if you are unfit. If you were interested then it might be worth asking if it would be possible to add additional stalking days or, of course, you could bid on all 3 lots and have the opportunity to stalk hinds on the 3 estates! That would be quite an achievement.
