Firstly Malcolm, I am very sorry to hear of Sandra’s illness and wishing her a speedy treatment and hopeful recovery!

Secondly (and I can’t say this loudly enough) thank you for everything you and the others have done in creating this forum. It’s been a space of learning for me, reading write ups from others and learning from them.

Lastly I just wanted to say thank you again for a wonderful set of stalks I did with you a while ago.

There have been around 10 interested people, of whom 3 now have a set of accounts for the site.

There have also been one or two people with more off hand approaches, which I will not respond to, for obvious reasons. If you are interested, then its serious contenders only please. Its taken us the 3 owners some 18 years to get the site where it is now, so PLEASE don't think its going to be a few quid to buy it. And also anyone asking if I am giving up my stalking areas will certainly get NO RESPONSE.

When i first joined under a different name i think there were around 500 members.

Ended up shooting all 6 with you and part of my level 2

Sorry to hear about your partner.

If the site was going to a syndicate of owners I would potentially be interested but I wouldn't have the time or resources to take it on alone.

SD is a fantastic place. Often a great read and informative, I’ve made a few good friends through here, learnt lots, bought lots!

Secondly, I’ve been visiting this site almost daily for gods knows how long now….. over 10 years at least…. I’ve bought a lot of items in here and met some great folk and made some good friends.

Id like to thank you for everything you and the others have done in creating this site, it’s a wealth of knowledge, stories, crack and to reiterate some of the comments on here, I don’t think there is another site quite like it, it’s full of like minded Individuals who put the utmost trust in people especially in the classifieds section , sending people you’ve never met sometimes hefty sums and it’s always been met with great responses, trust etc that’s testiment to how the site is ran, and that’s a rarity nowadays!

Good luck to you and wish you and your partner all the best in the future.
 
As you already know we are all thinking about you both, I will catch up with you both soon.
What you 3 have done over the year's has been amazing.
I have just checked and I joined this site in January 2007 and not long after I became very good friends with you all, we met so many like minded people from you running the SD weeks up in Sutherland. The time has come for you to do the right thing so you can look after Sandra.

I am now at a point in my life where I have to devote all of my time to my partner Sandra, who is not well. Obviously my time is going to be spent tending for her, and with really not knowing what the future holds I have decided to put my 40% share of the site up for sale.

I gave a heads up to my two colleagues, John and Alex (JAYB and csl) last week that this might be the case. They also mentioned that they would not stay if I left, therefore their part of the site 40% and 20% is also up for sale, so there is potential for us to sell the site as a whole to the right interested party. Or in 3 seperet lots.

The site had around 700 members when we first purchased it around 17 years back. Now with a growing membership of 36,000 plus it is the premier site for deer and deer stalking in the UK. It is an investment that has served all 3 of us well, and no doubt will continue to grow.

We are NOT going to put a price on here, this would be by private negotiation, although its not going to be given away, so only serious inquires please. And confidentiality is required.

In the meantime, we carry on as normal, nothing will change, and I would personally like to thank all of you for your support of the site over the years. You can of course contact me via PM. Please excuse me if I don't answer straight away.

Hi Malc,

As many others have mentioned I am sorry to hear the situation you are in. I have spent many a fond evening scrolling through the forums and thank you for creating this. My wife and myself wish you and your family all the best.

Firstly, my heartfelt thoughts are with you and Sandra. It’s times like this that focus our lives on what truly matters to us.

I haven’t been on for a while Malc, my own business having taken off in the last couple of years.

SD helped me out through some of the darkest times and I’m truly grateful for what you, John and
Alex have done for me over the years.

I wish you and the team the very best for the future
