Stalking Show 2023

Went Saturday, was slightly bigger than last year but much much busier, which is nice to see. I'm guessing that it will be on next year as well, lets hope it doesn't succumb to the tat, craft fudge and artisan gin stands

Waaaay too many shiny things for me to drool over though, makes me strive for a better paid job, a lottery win or having a rich elderly widow fall in love with me then pass away soon after leaving me her entire fortune in her will.....

Had a nice chat with the team at the teckle working dogs stand as we are thinking about one as our next dog. Got some really useful advice as well as a chance to see some nice dogs.
Also got a tub of Vit 140 which was really helpful. A nice little show all round really I wasnt looking for anything in particular so zipped round quite quickly but would definately go again.

The stalls were certainly busy and the fact that they were running out of stuff says that people were spending their money. It was definitely missing a designated re-loading stall, overstocked with powder and bullets but I guess that they don't exist right now. The shiny scopes and thermals were certainly worth a drool over too. Not perfect but not bad at all. No sign of Pikies either despite what someone said on here and no dog **** being carted around the place either!
Thank you to the organisers and the exhibitors. I went last year, this year and will likely go next year too. These events need supporting by us and it would appear that plenty of us did indeed part with our money and attend.

Nice to hear the mostly positive feedback. It might encourage more visitors as well as businesses to take part. We'll have a closer look next year.

Simple way to fix this,
Next year the judge can't see the contestants 🤔

I thought it was a great day out very busy on the Korthals griffon stand 🐾
There was a lot of interest in the Griffs which we were very glad about. I think Saturday was the busier day but plenty of people drifted by on Sunday.

Would love to tell you about the rest of the show from personal experience but as I only managed to get off the stand at 330pm on the Sunday I didn’t see much, if any of it!!

However as show’s go this is the best we have ever done!

Easy to access
Easy to park and free
Cheap to get in.
For us Easy to unload/set-up/tear down/exit
Excellent food onsite
Huge range of exhibitors from boot care to bullets, optics to outfitters.
Lots of Social areas where likeminded souls can sit around talking **** over a pint!!
Exhibition/Demonstration areas were always well filled with bums on seats.

From my perspective it is more than worth attending.
If we had brought more stuff we would have sold it
We took shotguns and sold them.
We had multiple enquiries for rimfire ammo and air pellets!
We sold catapults, we sold range bags, we sold shotgun cleaning kits, lamps and fox calls.
It doesn’t have to be all directly linked to deer!!

These shows rely on support from both sides, exhibitors and punters coming through the doors.
Turn out was excellent.
The footfall would now rival some of the National shows with a wider appeal.

To achieve that in two years is amazing.
I wish Dave and Deanne and the Stalking Show team all luck with continuing to grow what could become one of the dominant National shows in the Calendar.

We will be there next year with more stuff and more staff!!

I think the things that differentiate this show from the rest is it stalking and rifle centric and there are virtually no tat stands. If the organisers keep it this way, I’m sure it will go from strength to strength.

Little bit of an odd one - can anyone remember the target company? Not Tom's targets but the other?
I was meaning to head back and pick up their 'stalkers set' which consisted of a stand and a plate but bloody forgot!

Mike Norris from Brock & Norris had one of our new Evolution stocks for Rem 700 on display. I should have given a heads up....

You was a bit slow there. Though plenty of people at B&N when we were there yesterday.
