Stalking show visit

Our first time at show decent parking and nice to only see shooting related gear

I was gutted, having spent 3 hours walking round on Sunday looking for a foot spa

Really good day, a big thanks to Edinburgh Rifles & Mr Ogden's both very helpful.

Wonder if police know what furtive means , I had to look it up !! . Our first time at show decent parking and nice to only see shooting related gear

Perhaps a better composition may have been - deer stalkers may move slowly and use natural cover and concealment when conducting their sport

Furtive makes them sound like the bloke in the bushes with the long grey mac ,,,,

Does anyone know which dealer was handling the Zeiss sales at the show? As I understand it, Zeiss were there supporting one specific UK dealer?

Me too. May be just me but felt a little smaller than last year ……. Still well organised and live the easy in and out. Picked up some bits n bobs and am now VERY tempted by a Mauser M25 !
Smaller!!! Are you sure you saw all of it? M25 does look good, though.

Made me laugh that beds and west sussex police were there but no merseyside or gmp …… not sure about cheshire either
No Staffs (or WMP) either, at least on Saturday, just an empty table. Their loss as much as ours: the FLD staff from other forces that were there seemed to be enjoying meeting the public and comparing notes with their counterparts from different regions.

I think the idea is to enable the officer to match their impression to what they are seeing: someone acting furtively = Suspicious 🤨... Checks guide ... "furtive" = deer stalker = no worries 🙂
I think it's a great idea to give the police a means to understand when activities that might otherwise appear sinister are perfectly lawful and represent no risk to public safety, letting them walk/drive away with an untroubled mind, hopefully to do something more useful somewhere else.
The emphasis on blood stains is also welcome. I generally keep myself and my vehicle blood free, but always seem to anoint my boots liberally.
On a marginally related note, when gralloching in places where I may encounter the public, I use bright orange gloves, and put on a hi-viz jacket and cap: the aim being to look the outright opposite of furtive.

AWWW, now I have to get a different coat.

Good to see examples of modular larders on show from two providers (what I actually attended the show to look at) but a pity there were not any other providers showing their products
I bought and built a modular larder from one of the main suppliers last year - will take 8+ reds. Happy to share my views of my experience if that's the kind of thing you're looking for. Drop me a PM if I can help.
