Stay safe out there chaps!

Started off as a very pleasant morning stalk.
Now in hospital with pretty serious knife stick injury (self inflicted) and considerable blood loss after walking half a mile carrying all my kit, unable to staunch the flow.
It's a dangerous world out there! Stay safe, chaps.
Sorry to hear I hope you make a good recovery, some detail may help others avoid your outcome

Hoping you'll have a quick and full recovery, and that the inevitable dent to confidence which comes with knifing oneself, passes quickly.

When I did it, there was someone else there. Unfortunately, apparently not to help much but just there to criticise, offer helpful knife-handling advice and take the p155.
Everyone has friends like those 👍

Hope that heals before lambing!

That's rubbish news Tim but also means things can only go better. Which I really hope they will. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and rapid good quality treatment.

I hope you got some pictures, they come in handy as a reminder of how quicky things go pear shaped.
Work or pleasure a bit more than a near miss required?

Good luck @VSS fingers crossed for a speedy recovery, it’s easy done. I’ve just removed the stitches from a hand cutting self inflicted injury while in the larder, must be something in the air.

Always have a first aid kit and eperb over here, when I was in the uk never carried either ☹️ how stupid was I, get well soon.
