I’ve got one, great bit of kit, you can buy the essence to add to the alcohol to make it taste like what you can buy or you can make your own flavourings like rhubarb and ginger gin, or whatever flavouring you want. We had friends over having made different gins whisky, rum with the still and essence and did a taste test comparing the real stuff with our home brew. The only one that some people guessed was home brew was the rum and that was because we didn’t add enough of the sugar syrup to get the consistency right. You do have to remember to water it down or it can be lethal

. The first 50 ml distilled is unusable to drink that is but makes great cleaning product like isopropyl. As for the legality , you are allowed to distil a certain amount per year and can be added to petrol cars, don’t know that I would try that though. Enjoy.
