I tried Peter Dyson but unfortunately they are all but sold out with no new stock arriving.

Bugger, what do you need then for? Recutting worn chequring or cutting new?

If recutting you could make a simple tool from some 01 bar and needle files if you’re handy?

Think I have a couple cutting heads loose that need a handle, I’ll have a look, maybe I have something you can use. It will be cheap

Single cutter and double cutter, fine teeth, double is most likely 18 lpi- also a checkering cleaner I made myself which can be reprofiled to any angle you want with a bit of filing

I agree regarding the recutting but I will be doing new work and so will need two/ three line cutters and I dont think I could make them.
Which reminds me of something.
Wasn't it Fred Dibna (sp?) who said: 'If you think you can you probably can. If you think you can't, you probably can't.'
That always tickled me.
