Stock Molds

Another itch needing to be scratched...first mold being constructed, once this is in place the tooling gel coat will be applied making two molds. I'm hoping to perfect this and the carbon wrapping process (I have already started perfecting the carbon wrap) and I will be offering this as another service for stocks.

At this stage a blank canvas but would probably start with a Rem 700. Before I get to footprints the actual mould needs to be perfected I can then look at bedding blocks and strengthening rods for pistol grip, butt stock and forend.

Are the pictures of the mould or of the part that the moulds will be taken off from?
I spent a year in Chryslers fibreglass moulding room in the body experimental department back in 1968 that's why I am asking, the basics have not changed in the last 50 years.

Yes that is the pattern mold I’m making ready for the tooling gel coat then the lay up of tooling resin, just need to fillet in the edges...might be a PM inbound sounds like you have a lot more knowledge for this project...
