Stolen ducks North Wales

My elderly auntie has had approximately 30 ducks & 10 geese stolen last night. These were my dead uncles pride & joy and despite my auntie not being into his hobby, she kept them on as she'd promised him she would. These are ornamental, exotic types, fulvous duck, white face whistle duck, Hawaiian ne ne geese.

Stolen last night near bodelwyddan. Thanks.

They would all have been locked away for the night 🤷 Bloody upsetting for her, not just the loss of my uncles breeding but the fact she knows someone been snooping about.

She's always had rottweilers there, but last one died 2yr ago and she decided that at 86 she's too old for another dog. Bet they've had 6 or 7 rottys over last 50 years.

More chance of finding these exotic breeds than the common domestic breeds. But still only a slim chance.

Sounds like somone who knew what they were doing / stealing excotic breeds like that in a targeted theft. It’s a small community of folk that breed things like that, put out the feelers with trusted associates of your late uncle someone will know where they went , might take a bit of time .

Yeah wheels are in motion.

Might not be the breed but just fact that someone after a quick £££ and they end up in local Chinese as crispy duck

Hello, Have you noticed the Spate of thefts in the Country side ? Last year it was Honey Bees , I dare say these Geese and Ducks were stolen for their Ornamental use rather than food

Ben, Any brand new ish neighbours not happy with country sounds.?
No one new. She does have an ongoing dispute with one but that's years old & seems to have settled these days.

I agree, they'd opened aviary to golden pheasants but obviously couldn't catch them. Yet left more common things like lavender bantys etc. Someone who knew what's what. The néné are particularly ££(200 notes a pair) but also what my uncle had put the most years into rearing. Sad.

Afraid not mate. She did find some tyre tracks in mud by gateway, she photo it and took it to police station (second time of asking as they were closed first time... Wtf??) and in her own words the "boy behind the desk looked at me like I was stupid and an inconvenience" ☹️😡

I've made a fake FB account and posted an ad "wanting" the exact type that was taken, see if I get any likely takers 🕵️🤷

That is disgusting. The police attitude to crime is disgusting now.
