Please keep your eyes open for this tracked quad and trailer. Stolen from Aberfoyle over the weekend.

My neighbour had his quad stolen last year . The cheeky TW;;S Looked at his camera gave him a wave and road off never to be seen again

One would say it should take the police 5 minutes to track it and the towing vehicle on the road cameras, unless they were able to load ‘into’ a can of course, but that’s a big machine to and hide coming down the road

Not sure if it’s any use but positive I seen one on a trailer at the fuel station at gartocharn on Friday morning. Know you said weekend but wasn’t sure when. Sure it was behind a blueish pickup.

Our neighbour had his nicked about this time last year only about tea time & dog was in yard going mental but tied up . Never seen again.

I know the feeling had 1 go never to be seen again number 2 went 12 months later this was returned thanks to Lancs police.
insurance is a must but does not cover the inconvenience caused.

Had one stolen from Falkirk area a few months ago it was tracked, it was traced and it was recovered in Clydebank . So not to far from home. Good luck hope you get it back.

Sorry to hear that. Highly recommend a tracker, they are about £60, local police says it increases recovery rate to about 75%

Sorry to hear about this - the farm down the road from us had their Quad stolen (again!) a couple of months back.

Re: trackers, I’ve fitted these to all our cars now:



So long as there is any kind of mobile signal they work very well. They also make rechargeable models that can be connected via a magnet, so don’t rely on the OBD socket. I also have one of their personal GPS trackers, which I take stalking and on foreign trips. Mrs G has the App on her phone to find me in case of emergencies. In the App you can set up alerts to tell you if the tracker moves, if it is tampered with or removed, if it leaves a geofenced area, etc. They offer subscriptions that cover the UK, Western Europe, Global, etc. and you can upgrade/downgrade the coverage temporarily for foreign trips, etc. I’ve been very impressed with them, and have used the personal tracker across Europe and the Middle East.

You also need a buy a pay as you go SIM card and pay a small subs for that

Just wondering, could you use an Apple Air Tag ?

It relies on iPhone users being nearby so, for example, great to track luggage at a busy airport and slightly less useful up in the remote Highlands in December......

I have a tracker on my Quad after the previous was stolen. They came back for this one, but were caught due to the tracker and Bedfordshire police.
the Scrotes were from Cambridge, non traveling Travelers, one got 17 months detention the other two got 17 months suspended.
The tracker is from a company called AllTrac.
