Sub 12

I’ve had loads of air rifles over the years.
Most accurate was S410 .177
Worst a horrible webley break barrel.
If buying now it would probably be just a bsa ultra. Simple but practical.

I’m an air rifle nut I’m afraid to say. HW100 thumbhole and HW100 Bullpup both in .22, incredible accuracy and reliability. Obsessed with springers got far too many, go to field rifles are and HW80 and HW99, both in .22, but will give the others outings. They’ve all got soul!😆

I'm about to strip my .177 S510 and replace all the seals after 15yrs. I heard the tiniest hiss the other day from it when I filled it and there has been signs it is not quite as accurate as it used to be. So 17 or 18 seals to do and also a new firing valve while I am in there and should be good for another 15yrs. Need to find some silicone grease first as I seem to be out.

Really has been a fantastic rifle. God knows how many tins of pellets it has been through and never seen a dive bottle. Pumped that bitch up every time myself

I mainly go to either my FX Crown or Wildcat FACs. But I also have a rather old FX Cyclone 177 that is a lovely little rifle to use around the garden etc.

I've shot more squirrels with my old HW80 than I care to think about, not to mention all the rats and bunnies it has accounted for. These days however I prefer my HW100. Both in .22 and both truly deadly accurate.

The HW80 accounted for so many squirrels on the Estate where I worked that by getting 11p for each tail I was able to buy myself a scope for it at over £175 after just 12 months of saving. It sort of made me wonder if I needed the scope when I'd had all those with the original iron sights (barleycorn foresight)

AA S410 .177. Away with AA at the moment having the barrel looked at after it took a fall.

Theoben bitsa/butchered .22
It should be a Scirocco 2000 but some bellend chopped the fore-end and removed the moderator shroud to try and make it look like a Taunus. It was in a terrible state when I got it.
After After a good clean up, re-blue and a service we were getting somewhere.
The knackered moderator was replaced with a Weihrauch one and threaded onto the ultra carbine barrel, for a rammer it's very quiet. It's now running around 11.4 with Accupells and it'll group 5 within a 50p size at 30 yards.
I would like to find a barrel shroud for it and put it back to looking something near original but it's shooting straight so I'm happy, less so the bird feeder raiding squirrels.

Hw35 hw99 hw 30 hw80 and an fwb 300s

The 80 is .25 the fwb is 177 and the rest .22…

I’m a bit of a break barrel springer nut.

Plenty of up votes for HW100, what about a HW95?

I fancied a none-pcp air rifle for close up rats and garden practice, any idea what's best and I'm thinking .22?

Alternatively and going by the responses here, should I be looking at a HW100 and diving tank, what sort of budget would I need?

My last air rifle was an AA 400 and it just didn't get enough usage to justify hence me considering a springer for the occassional mess about.

Any thoughts, or suggestions, or possibly moving something on?
