I used to shoot lots of rabbits and squirrels with a BSA Aisporter, open sights and eley wasp pellets all through the shoulder. You just stalk in close or wait quietly downwind. I even shot a few witj a 177 BSA Cadet.
Of course rabbits are now much tougher than in the 1980s.
