Swarovski 10x42slc’s service?

Have a set of SLC’s I’ve owned for years, started to get a cloudiness in the right hand eyepiece, anyone had a set sent back for repair recently?
Am I right in thinking they’re not repaired in the uk anymore?

I am pretty sure they return them to Austria
Worth contacting them via the Swaro website to check on turnaround times etc - they are incredibly helpful

They all go to Austria. Surrey is the UK HQ that take in and send on items so you dont have to pay import fees/post etc. Expect anything from 4-8 weeks wait

I sent the same binoculars in for a service 2 years ago as one of the eye pieces was a bit cloudy like yours and almost died when I received the quote for the service, almost £1200
I declined and though I still use swarovski I will say that they are not as good for back up service as they used to be

I sent my Z6i scope to them before Christmas for a repair/replacement of the BT and a full service including polishing the lenses. As has been said, you post your items to Redhill and they deal with the shipping and paperwork. The factory in Austria then contacted me two weeks later, having inspected the scope, with a quote. My total cost was about £240. I gave the go ahead for the work. Three weeks after that I received the scope back, fully repaired and optically in as new condition. Cannot fault them.

Just had my el-range for repair.
Range finder stopped working and it developed double vision over time after that. Not a scratch on it (one year over warranty)

I bought some Swarovski binos on eBay from Italy that were optically fine but all the rubber etc was worn and reeked of tobacco. Sent it to the UK importers who sent them to Austria. They came back with everything pretty much apart from the lenses replaced, and a list of replaced parts for each. Total cost: €00.00.

Of course, this was before... The Event.

Similarly, I recently took my bashed up Victorinox Swiss Champ to the flagship store in London. They raised their eyebrows a bit because I don't think they see so many "well used" ones. Three weeks later it came back from the factory in Schwyz as new.

Ten quid.

In my experience old brands love this kind of stuff. It's brilliant for their image and marketing.

I bought a pair of Swaro 10x42 EL binoculars 9 years ago. They have been dragged through Devon forests and bogs and survived perhaps half a dozen safaris to Africa in that time.

Wear-and-tear was inevitable. And mine had two issues: rubber armour had gone through on the thumb area and Kalahari sand had found its way into the focussing gearing. [gritty and stiff to focus, but glass still as good as first use]

The optics suit my eyes in a way that neither Leica nor Vortex match, so I determined to invest in having these bins restored. They are keepers.

Well...I was blown away. Swarovski...

If it has a 10 year warranty that covers parts and labour, outside of the warranty period, parts are free but you are charged for labour, and that can amount to quite a bill to pay
