just want to give swarovski optics customer service a big thankyou
lost one of my eye cup rubbers for my el range binos. Contacted them two days later a set of new eye cups where delivered .
Always had swarovski optics quality product and service
thats why i have just ordered a new z8i from them .

I recently sent my EL’s in because the focus adjustment was slipping. Three weeks later they were returned completely refurbished and looking like new, free of charge. Outstanding service from Swarovski.

I had an old pair of 8x30 SLCs and sent them back for a service.
They came back and I thought they had given me a new pair ! Completely refurbished. New rubber , lenses etc.
Incoice total after they had listed all the new parts and the work carried out = £ a big fat 0.
You get what you pay for with Swarovski.

You’ll not be disappointed with your Z8, I’ve the 2-16x50 and it is fantastic. The BT, although $200, is worth every penny, especially if you’ve a loopy cal. That and the Swaro app work perfect..

Had the same with my Bins and they sent me replacements in the post within two days foc
i have Swarovski stuff on all rifles and also binos and would never look anywhere else there products are first class and so is there customer service. You certainly get what you pay for quality costs but what a great firm and product(s) that is why they are the market leader

Only used their customer care once. I had a 6x42 scope that got badly damaged when i fell, the tube got got bent and the objective lens got cracked. I sent it back to them with a note asking for a quote before any repair work went ahead. Never heard back from them, so presumed the scope was toast. Weeks later a parcel arrived with a fully repaired scope inside. Totally FOC even though the damage was down to me.

Just me then:(

IR switch fell off my Z6i so drove directly to Swaro Optics in Redhill to be told it needed to be sent away? The switch just clicks in so I asked if a switch could be posted to me and offered to pay

No they said. We even have to post off our ones when this switch falls off??????

They had the scope for four weeks. so had this been my only Rifle id have been screwed.

I asked them not to remove the optilocks as I would need to re zero which isn't easy for me

When it came back it was repaired FOC which is nice, but the zero wasn't even on the paper.

A single shot zero missed the paper which lead to a 25m zero just to get it on the paper. then another half dozen rounds fecking about to get it re zeroed.

It would have been nice if they told me they had messed with it

IMHO how hard can it be to upgrade the IR switch to have a MUCH more positive on and off resistance. The MK1 Z6 was a manufacturing fault that should have been recalled and sorted out properly

And don't get me started on my mega expensive but rubbish Swaro lens covers.

The novelty value of keep pushing the hinge pin back in and accidently removing the rear cover just with the force required to open the lid, has worn off.

Don't get me wrong, its great glass but every one telling me how wonderful Swaro customer service is makes me angry because they really are not that good in comparison and for the money we pay.

What they generally are, is free. Which is enough for some people.

Personally id have rather paid and just had the switch delivered and not lost the use of my favourite rifle.

They don’t do anything for free...whoever makes the initial purchase pays for any future repais/replacements that may be needed.
Ken.

Buy S/H and reap the benefits, I can’t fault Swarovski to be honest I’ve got 3xZ6i rail mount gen 1 scopes and a pair of 10x42 EL ranges

I’ll send each one back for a service this year just for peace of mind and you get a service report and it’s free so why wouldn’t you ?

Really happy with Swarovski products [own three of them] and services. My ATM80 spotting scope developed a small black artifact off centre of line of sight. Irritating but not a show stopper. Eventually asked what it would take to remedy. Totally FOC. 4 week round trip time, sure, as unit went back to European factory. But pretty impressive service.

Hi

#12 - Swarovski used to re-anodize/re-blue scratched tubes and then seemed to stop. Short of asking the question direct to Perrywood Facility (Christine Percy or Wahida Sheikh), or sending in to find out difficult to say what the current state of play is.
Going by many experiences (including mine) they may well 'service' the scope and just replace the tube........
