Swarovski Z3 opinions/alternatives

Thanks for all the advise in this thread guys, it was worthwhile posting. I've decided to go ahead and get a z3 3-10x42 with No.4 reticle. Dimensions wise including length/weight and spec it's perfect for what I need. I'll post a wanted ad to see if a mint example can be picked up 2nd hand before going down the route of ordering from the U.S

Ah ok- is the low base mag that essential ?

Looking like with a base mag of 1.5 is designed for air rifle use then- ratting etc.

1.5 can just about be used for running animals which is a regular occurrence on the continent. It would allow one rifle setup to be used across the board.

I got sorted with a lovely 2nd hand z3 3-10x42 off a fellow Stalking Directory member. Can't wait now to get it mounted and zeroed. Thanks again to all for your input on this thread.

Thanks to @Auroch for the z3 I'm delighted with it. Sets off the Wmr perfectly, can't wait now to get it zeroed

Couldn't be happier. My dad @pg339 gets the credit for the stock. Had no idea just how good it was until he got all the CZ dye stripped off it and sanded down. Was delighted to see the grain lurking underneath.
