Depends what you want….. the alpex will shine from last light till all the way in the morning. Once it’s “fully light@ the Swarovski will be much clearer
I also have a Z4i and it's a fantastic low light scope, but if you want to squeeze out the last drop of light, the C50 and 4k will get you there, they will surpass all glass no matter how good when the lights really gone.
The drawbacks are you have to remember to charge the bloody thing and they weigh twice as much as a normal scope but this isn't an issue at all, as @Tim.243 says compared to dragging out a large carcass the weight of your scope is the least of your worries
Reluctantly and as am running both Z4?and Alpex scopes and have the same dilemma, I would agree with those above that the Alpex 4k is probably the better scope for first and last light. So if you are time limited in the field, I would expect you might shoot more deer with the digital. On the other hand, the Z4 is a much more authentic experience in day and half-light. You might not shoot as much but those you do might be more satisfying. On weight, just get a 4K lite if it’s an issue. BTW, I’d buy the Z4 off you if you don’t want to keep it - rare to see them up for sale which might tell you something.
