Thanks, I've just aquired a new Sunwayfoto T2830CS. Great if anyone knows equivalent size already but sure i can figure out from specs if notPersonally I use neoprene tripod leg wraps in preference to tape.
The tape is a royal pain in the backside for all the reasons @Klenchblaize has mentioned. Neoprene wraps, by contrast, are simplicity itself.
I've bought leg wraps, lens covers and a whole load more from Wildlife Watching Supplies, and can thoroughly recommend them:

Wildlife Watching Supplies - Kevin Keatley - C37.1 Neoprene Tripod Leg Wraps
Set of 3 (4mm) neoprene tripod leg wraps for top/main section of tripod leg. Reversible with Velcro seam. Ideal for protecting tripod and insulation in cold conditions. The leg wraps are not suitable for tripods with cross supports.Available in Realtree Max (rev.olive) or Plain Black...wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk
If your tripod is a different model then measure them and see if perhaps @big ears on here will make some up for you?
What's it like when you take it off? Ref @Klenchblaize above...?Try the MOD scarpa tape, good gear and comes in a strange green, sand, or multicam

I’d recommend that you independently verify, just in case I messed up my Googling! Thanks v much, was looking myself but you way ahead!
If I remember correctly leaves little or no residue and you can use spray paint on it alsoWhat's it like when you take it off? Ref @Klenchblaize above...?
Self amalgamating tape, used by sparks. I wrapped my mod with it, tbh the colour won't make a difference but it is good stuff for joints. Just need a hot air gun or hair dryer to warm it up to apply. Can anyone recommend some decent quality tape suitable for carbon fiber tropod legs please.
Green or camo, mainly to protect against nocks, needs to be weatherproof.
Loads of it on amazon but suspect most of it is pretty junk...
Thanks
