Tape for tripod legs

Can anyone recommend some decent quality tape suitable for carbon fiber tropod legs please.
Green or camo, mainly to protect against nocks, needs to be weatherproof.
Loads of it on amazon but suspect most of it is pretty junk...
Thanks

Watching with interest as I thought I had this covered when purchasing stretchy green and camo bandage that is used or proscribed by vets for equine related injuries. It was great for c12-months but then a;- lost its inherent adhesion and b;- left all covered surfaces with a sticky glue-like substance as the chemicals within the bandage either gave up the ghost or reacted with each other.

Personally I use neoprene tripod leg wraps in preference to tape.

The tape is a royal pain in the backside for all the reasons @Klenchblaize has mentioned. Neoprene wraps, by contrast, are simplicity itself.

I've bought leg wraps, lens covers and a whole load more from Wildlife Watching Supplies, and can thoroughly recommend them:

If your tripod is a different model then measure them and see if perhaps @big ears on here will make some up for you?

Thanks, I've just aquired a new Sunwayfoto T2830CS. Great if anyone knows equivalent size already but sure i can figure out from specs if not

Google tells me the following:
  • The Sunwayfoto T2830CS has tube diameters of 28/25/22mm.
  • The Gitzo series 2 looks to have a top-leg section diameter of 29mm, whilst the Manfrotto 055 top tube diameter is 29.2mm
The tube wraps have a Velcro seam, so should hopefully adapt as needed.

Maybe a transport bag, to protect the legs while in truck? I don't find carbon fiber needs insulation (to stop cold transferring to hands) and at least foxing / equivalent you don't need camoflage either (mostly in dark).

For aluminium I've used local "cheap store" horse leg wrap that comes in e.g. green and brown. It's self-adhesive and I haven't got problems disregarding the one time I wrapped it the wrong way around. The adhesive was on top and somewhat stuck your hands. If you do get residual adhesive while removing, something like brake cleaner or even ethanol/isopropanol or hand wash detergent might clean it up.

Self amalgamating tape, used by sparks. I wrapped my mod with it, tbh the colour won't make a difference but it is good stuff for joints. Just need a hot air gun or hair dryer to warm it up to apply.
