Enniskillen D-Day exhibition melds battles with balls of yarn

Looks fun & obviously required a lot of dedication.
Our local crochet group is called ‘the Humbie Hookers’!

Tansy who dreamed this idea/project up late in 2022 is a personal friend as his her husband Mike. They live near Utah Beach in Normandy. The work done by knitters/crochet folk all over the world is amazing. It was all done for the celebration/commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Over their years living in Normandy, they have hosted quite a few veterans of the landings.
Mike has a jeep hood with writings of these veterans written in black marker. I'll attach a couple of pics. Mike & Tansy, also inside the Jeep hood - tho' you need to scroll larger to see the writings
