The maggot method.....

I was lucky enough to take three bucks the other day and now have their heads to process. Due to time and work restrictions and lack of freezer space to store them I was going to be lazy and experiment with a couple and try the maggot method of cleaning the heads. The six pointer I took will be treated to the normal boiling out regime.
Are there any tips for the best results by leaving them for the maggots? At the moment they're in an empty hanging basket at the bottom of the garden still in their skin, should I let them become fly blown and then cover them? Put them in sawdust? Skin them first? Remove the lower jaws etc etc......?
