The Nuisance Of Dog Walkers

No offence & totally sympathize

but

Why the f&ck let dog suffer wi laxative or whatever ??!!!

Dogs not done nowt wrong ... Bloody owner you have problem with
plus chance if they get ****ed off coz of the mess & take it out on the dog

I have no intention of making the dogs suffer as i know its not there fault its the owners fault and i dont intend to mix anything in with the gralloch but i am just not going out of my way to dispose of it as i normally would in this particular area, it is 300/400 yards from nearest track so no ones dogs which are under control should be so far away especially when she knows stalking is going on in the area. I also havent seen the big doe around the area anymore since the dogs have been in so she has obviously been harassed so badly (or worse) that she has moved out the area.

Also is any more than two dogs running off the lead out of control not considered a pack? she has five all running wild (four of which are proper hunting dogs), when fox hunting any more than 2 dogs is considered a pack and is there fore illegal??

yup that should just about sit you in the docks ,lose your F C and put you in the local paper .is there some sort of law for being that stupid , i dont think poisoning dogs by laxative is a good thing to do ,as iam sure thats what it would be classed as .you don,t have to kill something to be classed as poisoning..It might be worth a thought that fawns will be being born from now on and a sign on the gate explainnig this might appeal to her better nature ,and with it be light from 4 am onwards surely you can beat her out in the morrnings :D

Let me get this straight before i am lynched - i have no intention of setting out to poisoning dogs, i have no intention of harming dogs, i have no intention of harming the owner or the owners vehicle (even tho she did so to mine) i have no intention of doing anything illegal what so ever as i know how easy it is to loose fac. I just want the said party to keep her dogs under control and keep her voice down at 5am. I have made up extra signs which are now in place and any further encounters with her i will record on my phone and hopefully the matter can be resolved:)

Leave the gralloch out for the dogs, that normally puts a stop to them

This is also my approach, I've had repeat offenders in the past and have left goodies (Rabbit, Squirrel or Deer intestine) for the dogs. It's never failed for me, either they fear the dogs have been poisoned or they don't like the mess that results from it.

mix a large dose of dog laxative in some offal or dog food and leave that out, she will have a lovely trip home if you can put it there after she goes for walkies.:)

The woman sounds a pain but spare a thought for the dogs.

The stalker who shoots the local farm kindly left the gralloch in the hedge across the lane a few metres from my front door. A couple of days later my young dog was pooing blood and the vet said it was fifty fifty survival. Campylobacter as it turned out...it was not the four days intensive care bill that was my main concern...

Berg as stated above i have no intention of poisoning anything as i do not want to loose certificate, I have explained to her about the mature doe in the ruff about to have young to which she sneared 'so what' i have also tried to beat her up, which i have done but she seems to walk them at first light, the earlier it gets light the earlier i hear her screaming at the dogs all the way up the road, so in relation to that - yes i can beat her out but only just and i get 10 maybe 15 mins of peace before she they all appear.

the bit about poisoning was aim at the chap talking out of his a** about laxative ,but i would also be carfull about leaving gralloch laying around i beleave you should buried if she complains to the fostresty they wont like that so be carefull ,i think you said its a big wood so you could go to a diffrent area, its a tricky one just remeber you are the one that has it all to lose .atb

Yip it is a big bit of land and I think I am just going to have to move further afield to stop anymore run ins with her, I can stalk the re stocked area in the evening (just hope she doesn't start running them at that time as well) I have contacted the forestry company a couple of days ago as it was getting rediculous and explained that I was struggling to watch over the restocked areas due to the lady and dogs. They have just replied saying they will keep a close eye on the trees for any severe damage and if so they will sort something out (I think hinting of a night licence but didn't want to push it) but they were very helpful and apparently no the problem well from previous tenants.

anyway I would just like to draw I line under this now before it gets out of hand, I haven't done anything illegal nor will I do anything illegal to jeopardise my fac I'm just gona stay out of her way even tho it grinds my gears seen as I'm the one paying a substantial some of money to have to keep out her way . If I do run into her again I will record it likewise if I see her dogs out of control I will record it, extra signs up (6 in total) and there not much more I can do! The joys of Scotland and the right to roam!!

Or alternatively find a large amount of badger excrement, place it near the entrance, the dogs will roll in it guaranteed, she WILL have a lovely fragrant drive home:twisted:

I have a permission that is on a grass airfield. I basically have to control the rabbits as part of a safety program which I think is more than understandable. When I go to shoot I have to inform the police and put up signs. Over the past couple of months I have had to come home early as even in the dark people decide to walk their dogs and from a safety point of view I stop shooting. As a result I have had to make the wording on my signs stronger-
“Caution
Pest Control Operations in progress
Live ammunition being used
All dogs must be kept on leads at all times
Thank you”
However some people seem not to understand or chose not to. One chap walked onto the airfield with his collie off the lead. I thought once he sees the Land Rover he will change his mind but no he carried on, so I thought he may have missed the signs so began to drive towards him slowly sure enough he had seen the signs as you have never seen someone panic so much trying to get their dog back and on a lead! I don’t know what the answer is!
I might add I live in Scotland but the right to roam only applies to the hills and forest which people do find hard to grasp.

I work on a military range complex, we have 2x2.5ft signs every 100 yds, red flags, barriers on all rights of way ( that are closed when live) and we still pull people out of the danger area regularly. Mainly dog walkers. Even get people climb barbed wire to get in.

Fortunately for us, trespass into mod land is a criminal offence, but we don't get nearly enough arrests :/

Locals regard our shoot as a doggie play area with dog poo being bagged and deposited in our pheasant bins. I cured it in a week with a few official looking signs on the gates which read... "Take care adder breeding experiment on this estate".

I like that one rd but I think with this particular lady I would have to say there was a grizzly breeding program, a cobra breeding program and some rouge salt water crocs in the bogs to scare her off lol:)

latest update on the matter -

Didnt get up sat or sun morning so no run in, made it up on sat nite and no run in so all was going well till i went up last nite - the big chunky padlock on the gate has been all superglued!! couldnt get in!! very annoying!! cant say for sure it was the afore mentioned party but its an awful coincidence. Got in with some petrol and wd40 but had to go away and get it so spoiled my night as i didnt get to shoot.

Are you able to position a trail cam at the gateway to keep an eye on things?

I've just purchased one last weekend going to get it up this week, just need to try n get it far enough away not to b spotted but to still photograph the culprit:)

If it was her and I can catch her on camera would the police be able to do anything or would she just get a slap on the wrist and left to keep plaguing me??

So if you could not get in with the padlock superglued could she and her dogs? If she can't either, then unless she keeps coming back to see if you have removed the lock sounds like job done…well done!
