THE PRETEND KEEPER

Got given some quick release springs a while back.
Thought great these will be perfect if any of the drums get blocked20250404_163941.webp
Until the Squirrels chewed them off lol

Cracking Bumpy !

I have found that i may help the little birds if the boxes are a bit lower - but maybe you are targeting different species - looks a nice bit of mixed wood with good ground flora

We have repaired all our partridge pens today - i have built another pond and extended and deepened another this week - just in after having had a beer or two with some of the lads in the yard after - typical, some of the other boys are down the town later - but im behaving as going to the show early

Do you know I did think I had put a few a bit high .
I will certainly be making some more and basc have been great with donations

Thanks for advice.

Really trying to make a push for kids to be involved in conservation.

Thats brilliant mate - brilliant !

Oh I will mate. Spotted some crows building so moved the side entry trap onto their territory & given magpie a nice juicy rabbit to eat - hopefully that'll wind up his cousins!!!

Just done the same thing this morning pal - Hardly a crow on the place after lasts years success of well over 250 culls - but saw a pair in a remote section of wood today - so straight up with the trap - Cant wait till the morning !

Any luck mate?

I had another bloody magpie!!

Had my eldest as my chauffeur today on my rounds! She's at the age now she's actually proper helpful with the sheep & just my general day😍

She found a day dead munty buck. Something been chomping on it, badger I reckons. She pipes up, "why don't we come back tonight & see what's eating on it" so we're out with my 204 tonight 🤞
