I did on one occasion last year. I donated the prize (ammunition pouch) to a charity shoot.

Yes - i think the editor try hard - He seems a lovely chap - but every story now is along the lines of

I went out in my fancy....... - with my special ....... loaded with ...... wearing .........and i put it in my .......game bag

Its all advertising

The old writers and they do still have some like Lindsay Waddel - Laurence Catlow and Mike Swann - really made you feel you were sat in that hedge or stood on that peg !
My 2 favourites - Colin Wilcox and the great John Humphries
I keep saying to the editor to reprint 3/4 articles each week - but maybe times have changed a bit
I do enjoy the vintage times page the best

I’m sure they would be happy to reprint old articles, they do it often enough
